Cantonese soup is well known, but you may have never tasted "stone soup." Now this unusual, delicious soup can be sampled in Enping in western Guangdong Province, reports Yangcheng Evening News.
Zheng Zhannong, a geological engineer in Enping, made the startling gastronomic discovery.
And the soup, which is prepared and cooked together with this special kind of stone, is delicious.
The stones have been approved by mineral experts as containing many trace elements which are good for human health, and different versions of the soup, with chicken, mutton, pork and beef, can be prepared.
