Guangzhou Cool Bars(I)
Twinkle (Formally the Buffalo Bar)

Conveniently located in the quiet suburbs behind the Holiday Inn. While it opened six months ago, they still have the old sign up for the Buffalo Bar.

The 1st floor was being decorated when we were there, but the manager promised that it would be completed by National Day. But one thing is for sure: there will be plenty of seating. They will have a Hong Kong DJ playing pop music from 22:30 to 1:30.

There is another bar upstairs where a local band plays light rock every night from 22:30 to 24:00. If you're looking for a quite place to relax, the 2nd floor has an open-air balcony with limited seating and a small sitting room with a TV.

RMB 180 for 6 beers with 3 free. A bottle will cost you RMB 30 for any brand.

H/H is from 19:00 to 21:00, with prices on average 10% less.

Opened from 19:00 to 2:00

Hard Rock café

Opened in Guangzhou on September 2 1996, Hard Rock café is more a restaurant than a café, offering the very best music & dining experience. The U.S trained Singaporean chef cooks genuine American Food. The 7-person band from Thailand performs fabulous pop and rock music everyday except Monday. The other fascinating thing about the restaurant is its decorations, among which you can find the red high-heeled shoes from U.S pop diva Madonna, a lovely pillow and a pair of trousers from Elton John, the disk from the Beatles and a robe from Elvis Presley. It's just like a museum. Want some sports after the meal, you can play billiard while drinking the cocktail Hurricane.

If you have been away from the States for a long time and miss the large potion American Food, try Hard Rock Café.
