A total of 80 works created by Russian "presidential" artist N.N. Solomin - a master of realism and the art adviser to President Vladimir Putin - and by his father, Solomin Senior, are on display at the Shanghai Library from November 15.
Solomin's paintings cover a lot of subject matters such as war, religion, daily life, landscapes and portraiture. In acknowledgment of his virtuosity, Solomin's works have been collected by galleries and connoisseurs in more than 40 countries around the world.
Solomin Junior will attend the opening ceremony on November 15. He has demonstrated a great interest in Chinese culture and has created a painting entitled: "The Feeling for China" depicting Chinese vases, embroidery, hot-pot, etc.
