Yu Garden

|
Located in a busy street in the southern section of the city, Yu Garden contains many scenic attractions. Here one will find pavilions and pagodas, rockeries and fountains, old trees and precious flowers, exquisitely arranged in the traditional way. The Spring Heralding Hall (Dianchuntang) is the most outstanding among the garden’s many buildings. In 1853 when the anti-imperialist revolt began, the Small Sword Society used this building as its headquarters, and it has become a memorial museum.
