Indonesian Envoy Vows to Beef up Tourism Ties with China

Indonesian new consulate general to Guangdong province of China Harimawan Suyitno said in Beijing Monday that he would spare no efforts to strengthen economic and tourism cooperation between the province and Indonesia.

 

Suyitno said this after his inauguration along with other new consulate generals at the Indonesian Foreign Ministry office.

 

He said that he would build strong economic ties with the country.

 

"We see China as a partner. China has a potential with its high economic growth," he said.

 

"My top priority is boosting economy, by using the China's high economic growth, (I) will find how to use the China's economic growth for the benefit of us," said Suyitno.

 

Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda asked all diplomatic envoys to actively promote Indonesian tourism to overseas, encouraging foreign investment to enter Indonesia.

 

Indonesia has targeted 7 millions foreign tourists arrival annually, he said.
