A small jetliner en route from Cincinnati, Ohio, to Newark of New Jersey was diverted to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Monday night after a passenger claimed he had a bomb, media reports said Tuesday.
The Continental Express Flight 2772 with 15 passengers and three crew members aboard was searched, and the luggage on the plane was re-screened.
No bomb was found in the regional jet, which can hold up to 50 passengers, Airport Commissioner Fred Szabo was quoted as saying.
The passengers were interviewed and were to spend the night at the Sheraton Hopkins, Szabo said.
The forty-five-year-old man from New Jersey was taken into custody by FBI agents and faces federal charges, the reports said.
