Shanghai Readies Streets for Tourism Festival

Shanghai traffic administration has outlined a traffic control schedule on Huaihai Rd and its neighboring areas to coordinate with the opening ceremony of the Shanghai tourism festival on Saturday, local media said.

Vehicles, including buses, will not be allowed on Longmen Rd, the section between Jinling Rd M. and Huaihai Rd, between 10am and 9:30pm that day.

Traffic police will pose bans in the areas enclosed by Huaihai Rd M., Liulin Rd, Pu'an Rd, Taoyuan Rd and Wangting Rd at 5:30pm to 9:30pm on Saturday.

Huaihai Rd M., between Songshan Rd and Shaanxi Rd N., will be closed from 7pm to 9:30pm. Buses running on these sections will reroute starting from 7:30pm.

Entry on the Xizang Rd to the west section of Huaihai Rd M. will be closed at 5:30pm to 9:30pm. The entry on Shaanxi Rd S to the east section of Huaihai Rd will also be closed from 7pm to 9:30pm on Saturday.

Exits off the north-south Elevated Rd on Huaihai Rd will be closed from 7:30pm to 9:30pm, the report said.

Jinling Rd (section between Xizang Rd and Chongqing Rd) and Changle Rd (section between Chongqing Rd and Shaanxi Rd) will not allow vehicles, except buses, at 6pm to 9:30pm.
