The numbers of tourists visiting Bedaihe, the beach resort in northern China, has decreased dramatically as the temperature drops too low for comfortable swimming.
Tourism at the sea resort is strongly influenced by the climate and the peak season usually ends around the start of September.
The weaker market demand has caused Beijing's rail administration to halt three of the five additional tourist trains that were running to Beidaihe over summer. Trains T503 and T509 continue to run.
Beidaihe is situated on the Bohai Gulf, 300km east of Beijing.
