Macao's border check-points recorded nearly one million crossings during the Easter holiday, according to the statistics issued on Monday.
The figures issued by the Information Bureau (IB) showed that the number of border crossings logged from Friday through Sunday included 479,644 entries and 492,623 exits.
Hong Kong visitors out-numbered mainland travelers during the period, due to the fact that the Easter is a public holiday in Hong Kong but not on the mainland, according to the IB.
Macao, one of Asia's tourism destinations famed for its casino gaming industry, boasted a record 18.4 million visitor arrivals in 2005.
