Beijing Capital Airport Works Plan for Bad Weather

The Beijing Capital Airport worked out Friday a plan to deal with bad weather conditions in order to ensure safe transportation during the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Due to possible snow in the holiday season, the airport has worked out a series of counter measures and arranged ice-removing rehearses.

To deal with more passengers, the airport added eight gates for flights of Air China and Eastern China Airlines. Some shops extend service hours. There will be at least one shop, one restaurant and one lounge room opening 24 hours a day.

Currently, the airport becomes China's leading hub of air transportation. Nearly 1,000 flights land at or take off from the Capital Airport each day, with 110,000 passengers.
