Weekly Weather Forecast (December 19 to 25)

Northwest China: December 19 to 21, affected by stronger streams of cold air, northern Xinjiang and some eastern sections of the region will be overcast with light snowfall, then turn to be sunny, accompanied by force 4 to 6 northerly winds and lower temperatures. December 22 to 23, western and northern Xinjiang will have light snow, while the northerly winds in eastern sections of the region will become weak, from force 4-5 to 2-3. December 24 to 25, most of the region will be under sunny to cloudy skies with higher temperatures.

 

North China: December 19 to 20, most of the region will see sunny to cloudy skies with light rainfall or snow. December 20 to 22, affected by streams of cold air, most parts will have force 4 to 6 northerly winds with temperatures dropping by 6 to 10 Celsius degrees. December 23 to 24, the region will be sunny to cloudy with warmer weather. December 25, northernmost parts will be under overcast skies with light snowfall in some areas and force 3 to 4 northerly winds throughout the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 

 

Northeast China: December 19 to 20, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy with moderate winds and higher temperatures. Affected by streams of cold air, December 21 to 22, most of the region will be overcast with light to moderate snowfall; December 22 to 23, force 4 to 6 northerly winds will blow throughout the region, bringing lower temperatures. December 24 to 25, most of the region will be dominated by cloudy skies with force 3 to 5 northerly winds and lower temperatures, while central and northernmost will continue to meet light snowfall.

 

Central China: December 19 to 20, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy with warmer temperature, while some central and southern parts will appear fog at night and in the morning. Western parts will be overcast with light rain or snowfall on December 20. December 21 to 23, affected by streams of cold air, most of the region will experience force 4 to 6 northerly winds from north to south with dropping temperature. December 24 to 25, northern and southern parts will be sunny to cloudy while southern parts will enjoy higher temperatures.

 

East China: December 19 to 20, most of the region will be under sunny to cloudy skies with moderate winds and warmer weather, while areas south of the Yangtze River will see fog from night to morning. December 21 to 23, affected by stronger streams of cold air, most of the region will see more clouds in the skies with force 4 to 6 northerly winds, lower temperatures and light snow are expected in the Shandong Peninsula. December 24 to 25, northern parts will be sunny to cloudy, while southern parts will be sunny and partly cloudy with warmer weather.

 

South China: December 19 to 20, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy with temperature rising. December 21 to 23, affected by streams of cold air, most of the region will be cloudy, and then turn overcast with force 4 to 5 northerly winds, lower temperatures and possible showers in some areas. December 24 to 25, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy.

 

Southwest China: December 19 to 21, southern and eastern Tibet and some eastern sections of the region will be overcast with rainy or snowy weather in some areas. Affected by streams of cold air, December 21 to 22, the Sichuan Basin, Chongqing, Guizhou and eastern Yunnan will be cloudy with force 4 to 5 northerly or northeasterly winds, lower temperatures and possible ice rain in some places. December 23 to 25, some of eastern Tibet, the Sichuan Basin and the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau will continue to experience light rainfall or snow, while the remainder parts of the region will be sunny to cloudy.
