Tourist Arrivals in Bali Fall Sharply After Bombing
Foreign tourist arrivals on the Indonesian resort island of Bali continued to decline since the Oct. 1 bombings at three restaurants that killed 23 bystanders, reports said Tuesday.
According to the data from the Bali immigration office, international arrivals fell to 62,705 in November against 81,109 in October and 162,102 in September.
Tourist arrivals in the first 11 months of this year totaled 1.31 million, down slightly from 1.33 million in the corresponding period last year.
The provincial government has targeted attendance of 1.6 million this year, which is unlikely to achieve with only one month remaining and some countries maintaining travel advisory for Bali following the restaurant bombings.
