Taoxian Airport Closed Due to Snow

Heavy snow has forced the Taoxian International Airport in Shenyang to be closed at 8:20 PM December 4, 2005.

About 14 inbound flights and 9 outbound flights, including one to Beijing, have been canceled due to the bad weather. Passengers stranded at the airport were negotiating with relevant airline companies about lodging problems.

Also, Chang Tu section of Shenyang to Si Ping expressway was closed at 9:15 PM last night, while other expressways in Liaoning Province are still open with warning of speed limits.
