Macao recorded 1.7 million visitor arrivals in October, a year-on-year increase of 10.2 percent, according to official statistics issued on Monday.
The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service (SCS) showed that the majority of visitors came in the month from the Chinese mainland (57.9 percent of the total), Hong Kong (28.2 percent) and Taiwan (7.8 percent).
The SCS statistics showed that 51.1 percent of the mainland visitors were under the individual visit scheme.
In the first 10 months of the year, the figures showed, visitor arrivals totaled around nine million, a year-on-year rise of 16.1 percent.
