China and Australia vowed to promote honest tourism products, a move supported by 17 local Chinese travel agencies.
The travel agencies said they will protect travelers' legal rights, and set a good example for China's outbound tourism market.
The first 17 travel agencies promised to offer transparent products for Chinese travelers, which will be helpful for regulating China's outbound market, said Zhang Xiqin, deputy director of the China National Travel Administration.
China is one of the world's fastest growing tourism nations. In the first eight months of this year, the number of China's outbound travelers reached 20.46 million, up 10 percent compared with the previous year.
