Weekly Weather Forecast (August 22 to 28)

Northwest China: August 22 to 24, western and northern Xinjiang and southeastern parts of the region will see light to moderate rain or showers with heavy rainfall or rainstorms expected in southern Gansu Province and some southern Shaanxi Province. August 25 to 27, eastern parts of the region will be cloudy to overcast with showers or light to moderate rainfall possible in some areas. August 26 to 28, one stream of cold air will affect Xinjiang and western parts of the northwest.

 

North China: August 22 to 24, most parts will be overcast with possible showers or light to moderate rainfall and heavy rainfall in some places. August 25 to 28, central, southern and western parts will be overcast with showers, accompanied by moderate to heavy rainfall in some areas.

 

Northeast China: August 22 to 24, southern parts will meet showers or light to moderate rain, while most remainder parts will be sunny to cloudy. August 25 to 26, affected by streams of cold air, most parts will be overcast with light to moderate rain or showers, accompanied by heavy rain in some areas as well as lower temperatures throughout the region. August 28, western parts will continue to see overcast skies with possible showers. 

 

Central China: August 22 to 23, central and northern sections will have showers or light to moderate rain with heavy rainfall in some areas, while some of southern sections will appear showers or thundershowers. August 25 to 28, most sections will be overcast with light to moderate rain or showers, while some of Henan and Hubei provinces will fall heavy to stormy rain, accompanied by temporary strong winds and even hail.

 

East China: August 22 to 24, most regions will get light to moderate rain or thundershowers, while areas north of the Huaihe River will receive heavy rainfall with storms in some areas, accompanied by temporary strong winds and even hail; Some of southern Zhejiang and western Fujian will also meet heavy rain. August 25 to 28, most regions will continue to see overcast weather with possible thundershowers, while some of Shandong Peninsula, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces will have moderate to heavy rainfall with storms in some places.

 

South China: Most of the region will experience continuous overcast and wet days. August 22 to 24, most parts will have light to moderate rainfall or showers, while western and southern Guangxi and Guangdong’s coastal areas will get heavy rainfall with storms in some places. August 25 to 28, western and southern parts will have showers or thundershowers, while the coastal areas and some of Hainan Island will fall heavy rain or storms. 

 

Southwest China: August 22 to 26, most parts will be overcast with showers or light to moderate rain, while southern and western Sichuan Basin, Chongqing, Guizhou, eastern and northern Yunnan and southeastern Tibet will meet heavy rain with storms in some places. August 27 to 28, southeastern parts will continue to be overcast with showers or light to moderate rain.
