One Chinese Tourist Killed in Car Accident in Austria

One Chinese tourist was killed and five others were injured, three of them seriously, in a road accident in western Austria, a Chinese Embassy official confirmed Sunday.

China Eastern Airlines employee Han Mei suffered a fatal injury to the head and was killed when a minibus was overturned on its way to the western Austrian city of Innsbruck on July 29.

Among the six casualties, four were tourists from Shanghai. The other two were the driver and the guide, both from Germany.

Chinese Ambassador to Austria Lu Yonghua has assigned an emergency team to investigate the accident.
