Shanghai Airlines Commences Shangri-La Service

Shanghai Airlines reported that its opening flight from Shanghai to Shangri-La achieved a perfect landing yesterday, according to today's Oriental Morning Post.

 

Before this one, the company had opened routes to the famous Yunnan province resorts of Lijiang and Xishuangbanna.

 

The new service will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

 

After a night flight from Shanghai to Kunming, the connection will depart at 6:40 am from Kunming and arrive at Diqing Airport, Shangri-La, at 7:30 am.

 

The return flight will depart for Kunming at 8:15 am., then on to Shanghai at 9:55 am.

The whole journey takes around four hours and 20 minutes.
