The world's largest touring carnival, the World Carnival, will open in Tianjin from August 6 to October 9 this year.
Similar to Disneyland and Universal Studios, the World Carnival is a super-sized fair that brings rides, games and food to host cities around the world.
The World Carnival first came to mainland China in 2003 in Shanghai, and returned a year later to take on the capital city, Beijing.
The 2005 Tianjin World Carnival, which will operate by the Dongli Lake in Tianjin, will be held for 65 days in a huge 60,000-square-meter park with more than 100 games available.
Organizers are also planning to invite artists from Hong Kong and Taiwan to perform during the festival.
The previous events show that the World Carnival is extremely popular around the world and also offers remarkable business opportunities to its host cities.
