HK Disneyland Turns Up Heat on Talent Search

Hong Kong Disneyland kicked off its second round of auditions Sunday in the search for about 150 energetic dancers who will add a touch of magic to the park's Broadway-style shows and parades.

The auditions come hot on the heals of the launch of Hong Kong Disneyland's Magic Wanted Recruitment Drive last Friday that seeks to recruit 3,000 front line staff members for hotel operations, food and beverage, costuming, merchandise, custodial and security, among other services.

According to Hong Kong Disneyland, the response to its recruitment drive has been very positive, with a large number interested candidates visiting the park's website for details of the posts available. The interviews for suitable applicants will start in late April over a period of about two months.

The Hong Kong Disneyland audition process to recruit performing artists including musicians, show dancers, parade dancers and character performers will continue during the month of April.

Hong Kong Disneyland has received nearly 3,000 applications for these performing roles. Due to the tremendous response received for these performing roles, Hong Kong Disneyland is scheduling an additional audition session on April 9 to select parade dancers and show dancers.

Once selected, successful candidates will undergo a dedicated training and rehearsal program with the majority of candidates becoming permanent cast members of Hong Kong Disneyland thereafter.
