No Bird Flu Cases in China

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao says no bird flu cases have been reported in China.

Liu Jianchao said that since early March, the Chinese government has taken emergency measures and asked Northeast China's three provinces to prevent aviation influenza from entering China through North Korea.

A bird flu outbreak was recently reported in North Korea, causing hundreds of thousands chickens to be culled.
