A large resort featuring eco-agriculture was completed in Guanlan, Bao’an District, offering a new alternative for Shenzhen holidaymakers during the Spring Festival.
The 60 million yuan (US$7.2 million) project, finished in two years, houses the city’s largest fishing and spa bath centers, the Daily Sunshine reported Thursday.
Located on Guannan Road, the resort covers more than 400 mu (26 hectares), with more than 100 mu devoted to fishing.
The resort also allows tourists to enjoy rural life by picking vegetables and fruit, with 250 mu of orchards and farmlands.
The resort will be developed into a first-class provincial tourist destination in three to five years, mainly serving visitors from around the Pearl River Delta area, the report said.
Experts say the resort would be most appealing to DIY tour fans.
