Subway to Link Two Railway Stations

Beijing's Ministry of Railways plans to build a new subway line connecting the city's two railway stations.

Beijing's Ministry of Railways plans to build a new subway line connecting the city's two railway stations.

The estimated cost of the project is two billion Yuan for just over nine kilometers of subway.

Officials at the State Development Planning Commission think this subway will solve many traffic problems because every year millions of passengers have to transfer between the two stations.

The proposed new line will run from Beijing Railway Station passing by Qianmen, Xuanwumen, Changchunjie, Baiyunlu, into Beijing West Railway Station.
