Northeast China: From August 23–25, northern and western Xinjiang will have light to moderate rainfall or showers with force 4–6 northerly winds in the northern sections. Eastern portions of northeast China can look for light to moderate rainfall with heavy rain or storms possible in sections of eastern Qinghai Province, central and southern Gansu Province, southern Ningxia and southwestern Shaanxi Province. From August 26–29, eastern portions of the region will continue to have light to moderate rain or thundershowers, with heavy rainfall expected in some areas.
North China: From August 23–24, most of the region will be sunny to cloudy with occasional light showers possible in some areas. From August 25–27, affected by streams of cold air, most of north China will be dampened by light to moderate rainfall or showers, while eastern Inner Mongolia, Shanxi Province and central and northern Hebei Province will see heavy rain or storms. From August 28–29, portions of the central and northernmost sections of north China will continue to have moderate to heavy rain with storms expected in some areas.
Northeast China: On August 23, eastern and southern parts of the region will receive showers or thundershowers. From August 24–26, most of the region will under sunny to cloudy skies. From August 27–29, most of northeast China will be overcast with light to moderate rain or showers, while some of the northern and eastern portions will see heavy rainfall.
Central China: From August 23–25, areas north of the Yangtze River will be sunny to cloudy with occasional showers possible in some locations. Areas south of the Yangtze will be under overcast skies with light to moderate rain or thundershowers. Heavy rain is likely to fall in some places. From August 26–29, most of the region will be cloudy to overcast with showers or thundershowers expected, while some of Henan Province, central and northern Hubei Province and southern Hunan Province will experience light to moderate rain, with heavy rainfall possible in some sections.
East China: On August 23, eastern and southern parts of the region will receive showers or thundershowers as the coastal areas experience force 5–7 northerly winds. From August 24–26, southern parts of the region will be overcast, with light to moderate rain or showers. From August 27–29, areas north of the Huaihe River will see showers or thundershowers while heavy rain or storms dampen parts of Shandong Province. Southern Fujian Province will experience light to moderate rain; but the rest of east China will see cloudy and partly sunny skies. Zhejiang Province, southern sections of Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, Shanghai and northern Fujian will heat up to 33–36 degrees Celsius.
South China: From August 23–25, most of the region will have light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers, with heavy rain or storms expected in some places. From August 26–29, most of south China will be overcast, with possible showers or thundershowers. Portions of Guangdong Province, east Guangxi and Hainan Island will get heavy rain or storms.
Southwest China: Most of the region can look for overcast and rainy skies all week. From August 23–25, some of Sichuan Province, Chongqing Municipality, southeastern Tibet and western Yunnan will have moderate to heavy rainfall, with storms expected in some places. From August 26–29, most of the southwest will receive more showers or thundershowers with heavy rain or storms possible in some sections.
