China's hybrid rice technology is spreading quickly around the globe to help effectively solve food shortages of the world.
At an international conference in Sanya, south China's Hainan Province, paddy rice experts at home and abroad all thought highly of China's hybrid rice, saying it takes up less land while yielding a higher output.
The hybrid rice grows particularly well in impoverished countries without enough arable land but with a large population.
China has the longest history of growing rice of any country in the world.
