"Qin Ling", China's first after-burning aviation turbo fan engine with medium thrust was successfully trial produced days ago in Xi'an, which has lately passed technological test and will soon be put into batch production to provide power for China-made fighter-bomber "Flying Leopard".
As a two-rotor turbo fan engine, "Qin Ling" features reliable and quick starting, good performance in terms of height and speed, low oil consumption and easy maintenance. It is developed by the Xi'an Aviation Engine (Group) and 80-odd related factories, institutes and universities.
The successful development of "Qin Ling" fills in the blank of home-made turbo fan engine and marks a significant breakthrough in China's aviation engine production, experts said.
