New ID Card in Macao
The photo shows a sample of the new high-tech ID card in the Macao Special Administrative Region of China. The new ID cards will be distributed to citizens on December 4.

According to officials of the ID Card Bureau of Macao, the new ID card consists of visible and computer-read information. The name, photo, sex and number are shown on the card and some document, such as the marriage status, fingerprints and contact methods, will be saved in the chip in the ID card. Besides these, the owner of the card can also save personal information in the chip.
