A hi-tech exhibition week due in Beijing from November 6 to 9 will include four fairs on optic-electronics and lasers, optical communication, and personal digital and sensing technologies.
It is the second time the city has hosted the event.
The four exhibitions will cover an area of 20,000 square meters and more than 500 companies are expected to set up booths. They include world-famous hi-tech giants like Microsoft, HP, Motorola, Sony and Siemens as well as domestic companies such as Legend and China Netcom, according to the event sponsors.
During the exhibition week, about 10 industrial forums will also be held attracting about 100 officials, experts and insiders altogether to discuss the development of digital technologies, optic-electronics, sensing technologies and communication.
The exhibition week is jointly sponsored by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIC), the Ministry of Information Industry, China Electronic Commerce Association, China Communication Institute, China Optics and Opto-electronics Manufacturers Association and the China Institute of Electronics.
