Synopsys Donates Software for IC Designing to China
Vice-Minister of Science and Technology (MST) Ma Songde said Thursday in Beijing that a strategic cooperation has been forged between MST's Center of High Technology Research and Development and American software company Synopsys.

Ma Songde made the remarks at a ceremony which saw Synopsys donating softwares for integrated circuit (IC) designing to the the center.

He said that at the crucial period for the information industry, development of the IC industry is of significance to future economic development. As China's information industry grows fast, there is a large demand for IC products.

As one of the famous software companies, Synopsys's donation will actively help China's IC industry, Ma said.
