Two hi-tech industrial zones from China and the Republic of Korea agreed to establish a mechanism to share information last week.
This is part of the agreement that the two hi-tech industrial zones, Xi'an National Hi-tech Industrial Zone in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, and Pusan Hi-tech Industrial Zone in the second largest city of ROK, signed in Xi'an.
Besides exchanging information and data, the agreement said, the two sides will also promote exchanges and cooperation on technological development and application, and encourage more exchanges among companies in the zones.
The two sides will also hold seminars or forums.
Xi'an National Hi-tech Industrial Zone was founded in 1991 as one of China's first national high tech zones surrounded by and tied up with over 20 universities. Over the past 10 years, it ranked within top five among 53 national hi-tech zones in China.
Pusan Hi-tech Industrial Zone is also a national one, ranking the second among ROK's 14 hi-tech zones.
