An animation rendering support center for animation production is expected to be built in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province.
The project, listed as an exemplary case of Shenzhen's high-tech industry, will facilitate the city's endeavor to build the first one-stop platform for animation production, which comprises studio-design, financing, production and selling.
The platform will be built by the Institute of Digital Media Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd. (IDMT), a major three-dimensional (3D) animation production center, which made "Thru The Moebius Strip," the first 3D high-definition cartoon movie in China.
According to Cao Hui, assistant general manager of the Shenzhen-based company, the animation rendering center, to be completed in three to five years, will become the most professional multimedia animation service platform in the Chinese mainland.
IDMT was established in August, 2000 by the Global Digital Creations Holdings Limited (GDC) based in Hong Kong.
