The Chinese Antarctica research team have finished their work and returned to Shanghai on March 24.
The research team left for the pole last October on the 21st Chinese expedition to Antarctica.
Director of the State Bureau of Oceanic Administration of China, Gao Shuguang, says the scientists have made extraordinary achievements in the polar exploration.
During this expedition, the Chinese scientists climbed Dome A, the highest peak in inland Antarctica.
They registered the lowest annual mean temperature ever recorded on inland Antarctica's icecap.
They also located the exact position of the peak and built two aerographic devices on the icecap.
