Software giant Microsoft has lodged its first anti-piracy complaint with China's copyright bureau against three software producers. Two of them are in Tianjian and one in Beijing.
Three companies were said to produce fake software, two in Tianjin and one in Beijing.
The US software giant accused the companies of producing large volumes and selling the fake software.
Senior Chinese officials have pledged to back Microsoft if the evidence supports the filing.
