South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday will hold working-level talks over forming a joint cheering squad for the Beijing Olympics, South Korea's Unification Ministry said.
The two sides will discuss the size of the squad and other details on sending the group with inter-Korean railway in DPRK's border city of Kaesong, the ministry said.
Yoo Sang-il, a member of the Korean Olympic Committee, will lead the three-member South Korean delegation to the talks in Kaesong.
Yoo's DPRK counterpart will be Hwang Chol, a department director of the DPRK's Council for National Reconciliation.
South Korea and DPRK leaders agreed in last October to send a joint cheering squad to Beijing during the Aug. 8-24 Olympics.
