Short annals made of silk fabric accounting the Olympic Movement and the Beijing Olympic Games will be available to collectors in early December.
The annals are a double-sided silk album with full-color printing that adopts specialized printing techniques to lay out the magnificent Olympic history on traditional brocade, according to the official website of the BOCOG.
The annals will introduce both tangible and intangible cultural elements of past Olympic Games, including the venues, emblems, medals, mascots, and the ceremonies, while presenting the modern outlook and the ancient traits of Beijing.
With a limited issue of 30,000 copies, the annals will be sold at a price of 2,008 yuan (270 US dollars) per volume.
