China will equip police with helicopters to ensure public security during 2008 Beijing Olympics.

An official released the news Tuesday at a press conference held by Ministry of Public Security. He said the ministry has also set up a management office for Police Aviation.

It is reported that Chinese police has nearly 20 helicopters so far.
