China Urges Palestinians, Israel back to Talks

China on Wednesday urged Palestinians and Israel to immediately stop violence and abandon the policy of target killing, and return to the "right track" of resuming political negotiation.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan made the remark when requested to comment on the escalation of conflicts between Israel and Palestinians.

China once again condemns the latest suicide attacks occurred in Israel and is deeply worried about the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts which have been escalating recently, said the spokesman.

It was reported that two suicide bombing attacks occurred in Israel within 6 hours Tuesday evening, killing at least 12 and wounding some 55 in total. The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas has claimed responsibility for both attacks.

On Tuesday evening, the Israeli army blew up an eight-storied building in the West Bank city of Hebron, in which two members of Hamas were holed up.
