Liu Yunshan, member of the Political Bureau and the Secretariat of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, met in Beijing Tuesday with Raul Valdes Vivo, president of the Party School of the Cuban Communist Party Central Committee.
On behalf of the CPC Central Committee, Liu extended a warm welcome to Valdes and spoke highly of the relations between the two countries and two parties.
He said that enhancing exchanges between the two parties helps improve mutual understanding between the two countries. He also briefed Valdes on China's domestic situation and the CPC's
ideology and theory building.
Valdes said the Cuban Communist Party appreciated China's great achievements in socialist construction and is willing to carry out exchanges with the CPC in ideology and theory building.
Valdes is in Beijing at the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
