Madagascan President Marc Ravalomanana arrived in Shanghai Sunday for a three-day visit to the city.

During his meeting with Jiang Sixian, vice mayor of Shanghai, Ravalomanana said Shanghai has seen rapid economic development for more than a decade and it has huge market potential.

He expressed his hope that Madagascar can learn successful experience of Shanghai's economic development, and strengthen cooperation and exchanges with Shanghai in economic, trade and cultural fields.
