One more US Global Volunteers team comprising 86 professionals has arrived in northwest China's Shaanxi Province to offer two-week voluntary services.
As it is the 100th team sent by US Global Volunteers to west China, An Wei, director of Shaanxi Provincial Research Society of Chinese and American Culture, told a press conference in Xi'an Thursday that Shaanxi will hold a grand ceremony and a series of activities from May 16 to 22 to commemorate the event.
US Global Volunteers has sent 100 teams comprising a total of over 1,100 volunteers to west China to offer various voluntary programs including teaching English language, management training courses and exchanging their expertise with local medical and legal workers since 1996.
