Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan called for more Sino-Japanese exchanges of young statesmen Saturday during his meeting with Komura Masahiko, president of the Association of the Dietmen League for Japan-China Friendship (ADLJCF).
Tang said he hoped the ADLJCF would carry forward the friendly tradition of their predecessors and initiate a new phase of Sino-Japanese friendship in the new century by observing the three political documents including the Sino-Japanese Joint Statement, and adhering to the principle of learning from history and facing up the future.
Masahiko and his party were here as guest of the China-Japan Friendship Association.
