About 100 business people from the United States and China attended the first Sino-US annual meeting on business cooperation and joint ventures, which began in Beijing Monday.
The cooperation mainly involves fields such as manufacturing, construction and agriculture.
The US businessmen began a three-day tour of China Monday to seek business opportunities.
Thomas Crehan, chairman of the Asia Pacific-USA Chamber of Commerce, said this meeting offers opportunities for entrepreneurs of both countries and not only trade, but also friendship can be developed.
The meeting was jointly organized by the US Department of Commerce, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, the US Asian-Pacific Chamber of Commerce, the Asian Chamber of Commerce and the World Chinese Business Promotion Association.
