The death toll of the dengue fever across Indonesia since January has increased to 415 and the sufferers to 30,234, a spokeswoman of the Indonesian Health Ministry said in Jakarta Thursday.
"The cumulative figure for people died from January is 415, and the total sufferers are 30,234," Mariani Reksoprojo told Xinhua.
She said that Jakarta is still the mostly infected area.
Some 12 of the 30 infected provinces still had extraordinary cases, she added.
Previously, the spokeswomen said that the Indonesian government has instructed people for a health environmental movement to avoid the further attack of this epidemic.
The Indonesian government has been trying seriously to prevent further spread of the disease brought by aedes aegpty mosquito, by allocating a large number of funds to stop the spread of the epidemic.
The Secretary General of the Prevention of the Infectious Disease of the Ministry Syafei Achmad said that at least 89 percent of the sufferers had been in good condition.
