The fourth session of the China-India Eminent Persons' Group (CIEPG) concluded in Beijing Thursday.
The two-day meeting was held in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, according to sources participating in the meeting.
By exchanging views on cooperation in fields like politics, economy and science and technology and putting out suggestions, the two sides promoted bilateral friendship and cooperation, sources said.
State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with the Indian delegation Thursday afternoon while Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met them Wednesday.
The CIEPG, which serves as an advisory agency for the two governments, was set up on consensus reached between former Chinese President Jiang Zemin and former Indian President Raman Narayana in May 2000.
