A major Chinese non-governmental friendship organization held a reception in Beijing Wednesday to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sudan.
Chen Haosu, president of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), said the friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two countries have developed smoothly since the establishment of diplomatic ties 45 years ago.
He said the mutual understanding and friendship of the two peoples continuously deepens as time goes by. Chinese people highly cherish the traditional friendship between the two countries, and attach great importance to the development of existing friendly cooperative relations.
Chen expressed appreciation for the Sudanese government's adherence to the one-China policy and its support for China in international affairs. He hoped that with the joint efforts of the two countries, the Sino-Sudanese friendly mutual cooperation will continuously be consolidated and enhanced.
Sudanese Ambassador to China Mirhgani Mohamed Salih expressed appreciation for the Chinese government's efforts in developing and deepening the bilateral friendly relations.
