Visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao addressed the National Assembly of Gabon in Libreville Monday, expounding China's policy on developing and strengthening friendly relations with Africa.
During his speech, titled To Consolidate Traditional Sino-African Friendship and Deepen All-around Sino-African Cooperation, Hu put forward proposals for deepening all-around Sino-African cooperation and promoting common development under the new circumstances.
Hu arrived here Sunday afternoon for a three-day state visit. It is the first trip to Gabon by a Chinese head of state since the two countries established diplomatic relations 30 years ago.
Gabon is the third led of Hu's four-nation tour, which has taken him to France and Egypt and will also take him to Algeria also for a state visit.
