United Nations nuclear watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei on Monday praised Libya's cooperation with international inspectors to make sure that the country is giving up efforts to develop weapons of mass destruction.
"Libya has shown a good deal of cooperation, a good deal of openness," said ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who held a half-hour meeting with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi on Monday.
ElBaradei led a group of inspectors to the North African country to conduct the first inspections there at the invitation of Libya.
