Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), visited the Software Technology Parks of India in Hyderabad Wednesday.
Jia listened to the parks' Director Vijay Kumar's introductions to the information industry of Hyderabad, capital of India's Andhra Pradesh and famous for computer software engineering.
Jia, at a meeting with Chandrababu Naidu, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, said he hopes that both sides can have more cooperation in information technology.
Jia, who arrived here from New Delhi Tuesday, also said he hopes Naidu will help promote cooperation between the two sides in the IT sector.
Echoing Jia, Naidu expressed his hope that both sides will learn from each other and enhance cooperation in the information industry.
India is the first leg of Jia's visit to five South Asian nations. He will also visit Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan.
