FM Spokesman: Georgia's Situation Internal Affairs

Recent changes in Georgia are its internal affairs and China respects the choice of the Georgian people, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao in Beijing Monday.

According to the official website of the ministry, Liu told the press in response to a question that China has noted the recent changes in Georgia and considered it to be Georgia's internal affairs.

The Chinese side respects the choice made by the Georgian people and will, as always, attach importance to the development of the friendly and cooperative relations with Georgia, the spokesman said.
