A British freelance journalist was shot dead by unidentified attacker in Baghdad on Saturday, a US military spokesman said.
The freelance television producer, whose identity was not disclosed, was shot outside the Iraqi National Museum, said fellow journalists.
A spokesman for the British Foreign Office has confirmed the accident, saying British officials were seeking to identify the body of a man thought to be in his mid-20s.
